Info Post
CBN News: Sarah Palin officially stepped down as the governor of Alaska at a farewell picnic in her home state Sunday evening. Her final 15-minute message centered on free speech, the military, the media, politics and energy. The former Republican vice-presidential nominee warned all Americans to "be wary of accepting government largess. It doesn't come free." What does Palin's resignation mean for her political future? Watch the following CBN News Washington Correspondent John Jessup's report:

Bill Smith, ARRA News Service Editor: Former Governor Sarah Palin who loves her native state of Alaska is now unshackled from her position as Governor and free to involve herself in the lower 48 states. While many focus on the question of "will she or won't she run as President in 2012," they evidence that Palin is a real force to be reckoned with. While Palin was not a presidential contender in 2008 and was somewhat unknown (in the lower 48 states), when she accepted the offer to be the vice presidential running mate on the 2008 Republican ticket, she was vaulted into the limelight. And, she did not disappoint the conservative base. Sarah Palin drew the largest crowds during both the 2008 Republican and Democrat presidential races. She was a magnet for funds. Everyone wanted to meet, see, and hear Sarah Palin.

If Sarah Palin uses her influence to help 2010 Republican conservative candidates, she can be a dynamic force in helping to reshape the next Congress. While Steele manages the infighting and regrouping of the Republican Party on the national level , and while Hannity, Beck, Limbaugh and others provide the "on air" voices of the conservative movement, Sarah Palin could become the "boots on the ground" needed to lead the conservative movement. As she rightly says, she does not need an official title or a position. She has what every other politician needs more than even charisma. She is believable, lovable, and confident while being able to tear to shreds the falsehoods of the liberal agenda. With a smile and true sense of hope, many of us welcome Sarah as a leader in the fight for center American values. Sarah, thank you for giving up your position as Governor to be unshackle to come to the aid of your country - the country that so many have sacrificed and died to preserve. Sarah Palin understands the meaning of the words: "Country First."
