The Bureau of Labor Statistics released February 2012's jobs numbers:
Nonfarm payroll employment rose by 227,000 in February, and the unemployment rate was unchanged at 8.3 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Employment rose in professional and businesses services, health care and social assistance, leisure and hospitality, manufacturing, and mining.
The February jobs numbers show the unemployment rate remained at 8.3%. Progress is being made, but a U.S. Chamber infographic shows that the economy needs to create 755,000 jobs per month for the next seven months for employment to return to pre-recession levels.
