Info Post
The president salutes the troops.
by Kevin Whiteman, Wilmington Conservative Examiner: With the massive military presence in eastern North Carolina, many military families not only in the Tarheel State, but nationwide are about to see government caused limits on their once guaranteed health care.

On June 1st, the Senate failed to take actions in regards to the Obama-Care induced move that will force doctors to be hit with a 21% payment cut for the care of seniors, forcing many to make difficult decisions about treating not only Medicare patients, but military who rely on TRICARE.

In a recent AMA poll, 68% of physicians nationwide say they will be forced to slash the treatment for Medicare patients due to this year's cut.

And care for military families is also at risk because the government health insurance program, TRICARE, ties its payment rates to Medicare.

The Obama Administration Speaks:  Yet in the April-June edition of Semper Fidelis, The Memorandum For Retired Marines, the Secretary of Defense Robert Gates reassured service members and their families that the legislation wouldn't have a negative affect on TRICARE. Gates went on to say "The president and I are committed to seeing that our troops, retirees and their families will continue to receive the best quality health care."
