In addition, we fulfilled three goals. First, we crafted a survey to vet candidates. Second, we came away with ideas to build our organization. Third, we increased the value of our network with outstanding conservatives from around the country.
The convention Opened on Friday afternoon with a business session to vote on rules, by-law changes and resolutions. The NFRA was pleased to charter and welcome the new Iowa Republican Assembly. Following the business meeting, NFRA members participated in the 'Rally Against Reid' conducted by the Nevada Republican Assembly. The convention center was filled with voters eager to give U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid a pink slip. Former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell was the featured speaker at the Friday evening dinner. He rallied the NFRA members with a stirring speech
Saturday was filled with speakers and training classes. There was a good mix of information lectures and how to seminars. And best of all, the convention speakers were outstanding, knowledgeable, and helpful.
