CMS says ObamaCare may jeopardize access for seniors

Just as the Obama Administration begins to implement ObamaCare, a large number of doctors are deciding to drop out of Medicare and not treat seniors. In new data from the Houston Chronicle, more than 300 doctors have stopped seeing Medicare patients in Texas over the last two years, including 50 in the first three months of 2010, with primary care physicians leading the departure. CMS has already stated that ObamaCare’s reductions in Medicare reimbursement rates to health care providers could potentially jeopardize access to care for beneficiaries. [Source]
