State Representative Johnny Key, Minority Leader of the Arkansas House of Representative, asked today "Why do Democrats in Arkansas still try to insist that the Democrat Party isn't the party of homosexual marriage?" He cited the following article from the Washington Blade ("news source for Washington's visible Gay community"). The article provides "plenty of proof" that they party advancing the agenda for homosexual marriage: Marriage fight heads to legislatures in N.Y., Calif. "The Democratic National Committee, meanwhile, assisted a gay group in Illinois with its efforts to block an anti-gay marriage amendment from going before voters in November and has adopted a five-point plan for fighting similar ballot measures in other states, according DNC spokesperson Danien LaVera.
