Mike Huckabee leaves office Tuesday after more than ten years as Arkansas governor. He is considering a run for the presidency in 2008 and has said he will announce his decision after he leaves office. Huckabee indicated he is ready for the national spotlight in a potential run for president. He says that every transaction he's been a part of as governor has had an extraordinary level of scrutiny so he thinks he has been somewhat prepared for the national press if he chooses to go that route. Huckabee has a term for the harsh media spotlight that some say awaits the Arkansas' governor if he jumps into the presidential race. He jokingly refers to it as "the political version of a colonoscopy.'' KAIT K8
