Update: (7/16/08) The Baxter Bulletin - front page story: Local blogger to cover GOP convention: An office overlooking the White River is a long way from the Twin Cities where the Republican Convention will be held in September. But thanks to the Internet, Baxter County resident Dr. Bill Smith is connected with the whole world and this connection is one of the reasons Smith received press credentials to cover the convention in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minn.

Smith, also known as Ozark Guru, is a blogger who meets with politicians and members of think tanks on the Internet and then writes about those meetings.
