Info Post
ACT QUICKLY---TIME IS SHORT! It is difficult to play catch-up when Government officials operate off record, or with short public notices to the public, or outside of established constitutional guidelines. Complete and total transparency is a friend of the Citizen but seems to be avoided whenever possible by governing officials. There must be a human gene which turns on when a person is elected to office. A gene that causes elected officials to believe that they now know what's best for the people even when the majority of the people would not have agreed with them if full disclosure had been made. The gene's effects to intensify as a person is elected to "higher levels" of positions and authority. Dictatorial tendencies appear and we eventually notice (if we are watching) that they are limiting, taking or surrendering our personal and property rights. A current example requiring quick action is detailed below:

Secure Arkansas shares an immediate need for Citizen action: We as free people of the United States of America are having our civil liberties and rights constantly being attacked. This proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Watershed Pact identified below is one more way to take away our personal property rights and ability to use oversight on the various government agencies which this affects. Please consider making the phone call to the people and agencies listed below. It will make a difference and help out fellow PATRIOTS who are fighting along side you (just on different issues) to try to keep this STATE and all of the others FREE for us, our children, and future generations.

Request from a fellow Patriot Citizen: ****URGENT****
Three years ago, ANRC and ADEQ almost persuaded Gov. Huckabee to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (Watershed Pact) with the Missouri governor, which would have given undue power of bureaucratic agencies over the state legislature and county and municipal governments. Public pressure caused him to withdraw from signing.

Now, a surprise announcement in the ARK Dem/Gazette last week says that Gov. Beebe will be participating in a signing ceremony NEXT Monday morning, Nov 24 (10:30 a.m.) at Bass Pro in Springfield, Mo. for the same kind of watershed pact. (Their decision will be made TODAY, Nov. 21st!) TIME IS SHORT to accomplish the same persuasion to convince Gov. Beebe to refrain from signing. Immediately call the governor’s office: 501-682-2345 fax#: 501-682-1382 and insist that Gov. Beebe NOT sign the MOU with Missouri governor next Monday nor ever.

Reason for Action:
  • “The proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Watershed Part is in violation of the Constitution because it provides the way for non-elected bureaucratic agencies to have authority over land and water resources without public input, and without accountability to our elected state and county officials.
  • IT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO ERASE STATE AND COUNTY BOUNDARY LINES THEREBY ALLOWING FOR UNELECTED REGIONAL COUNCILS TO GOVERN US, RATHER THAN OUR CONSTITUTIONAL AND ELECTED LEADERS TO MAKE AND ENFORCE THE LAW.
  • It also usurps County Conservation District authority as provided by Act 197 of 1937.”
Call your State Legislators and Senators and County Judges requesting they contact the Governor with same message. ALSO contact your LOCAL AND STATE FARM BUREAU offices with same message insisting that they require the State Farm Bureau office to send an official message of opposition to the Governor because the MOU / Watershed Pact conflicts with Farm Bureau Policies, especially Policy #N-11.
