 American Solutions: By signing the 1,073 page, almost one trillion dollar, pork-filled stimulus yesterday into law, Washington placed its bet on government to fix our economy. How have these big government bets fared recently? The $180 billion stimulus program in the spring of 2008 failed. The $345 billion housing bailout from the summer of 2008 failed. And the $700 billion Wall Street bailout from the fall of 2008 failed. Of course, Washington will never change unless we demand something different. We have an alternative plan, "12 American Solutions for Jobs & Prosperity," that bets instead on the individual, hard-working American who keeps this country going. It is now time to lead. Endorse our plan and invite some other new supporters. |
