by Pamela Stallsmith, Times-Dispatch: House Speaker William J. Howell is endorsing former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee for president and will serve as his Virginia State Chairman. Howell, a Stafford Republican, will help with fundraising, volunteer and outreach efforts in Virginia, as well as with other legislators around the country. "He is the leader our country needs and one I am honored to serve as state chair for his campaign," Howell said of Huckabee. . . . Howell is the latest Virginia politician to publicly line up behind a presidential hopeful. . . . former attorney general Jerry W.
