Info Post
Today, Vice President Dick Cheney was the guest at a closed-door reception and fundraiser for the Republican Party of Arkansas (RPA). Cheney addressed about 130 people in Little Rock. The admission for the reception was $250 per person reception in downtown Little Rock. The state party also offered photo opportunities with Cheney for $1,000 a person.

U.S. Rep. John Boozman, R-AR said Cheney's visit shows the importance of Arkansas in the 2008 presidential election. Cheney touted the Bush administration's tax cuts and said the situation is improving in Iraq and "The vice president gave us a little pep talk." Arkansas GOP Chairman Dennis Milligan said, "The vice president spoke about a number of things, most of all how happy he was to be here in Arkansas and looking forward to going duck hunting." Milligan did not know yet how much money was raised from the fundraiser. RPA state director Karen Ray says the money will go toward Arkansas Victory 2008, the state party's efforts supporting federal candidates for office in Arkansas.
