by Patrick Britton: The elections are still 36 days away but people in Ohio are already voting by absentee. There’s nothing special about voting absentee but what is interesting is the ability for people to register and to vote in the same day. The main problem for politicians has been to get lazy voters into the voting booths on election day. That is not a problem because in Ohio, until October 6th, the Democratic machine is allowed to get out and convince people to register to vote and to vote for Obama at the same time.

In the name of voter’s rights political forces are being allowed to round up voters that would more than likely not vote in November. It’s great that people are being persuaded to register but following up with an absentee ballot is unethical. Instead of allowing people to vote at their own whim they are being coerced to do so for the Democratic nominee. People have a right to vote for who they want when legally allowed.
