| Bill Smith, ARRA Editor: The following political cartoon serves as our final word on Arlen Specter self-inflicted political suicide. Instead of retiring with grace, he created a no win situation. Neither the Republicans or Democrats trust him. He insulted his own Pennsylvania (PA) supporters and the PA GOP. And the PA Democrats are glad to see his demise. Unlike, Sen. Joe Lieberman who stood his ground and said "well if I don't fit in the Democratic Party, I will fight for my seat as an Independent and stand for the same positions for which I have always stood." The result - he won. However, Specter, a RINO, has both lost respect and is now hung on the Democrat trophy wall.
