Info Post
April 2012 has proven to be a good month for Mitt Romney. On April 3rd, Romney all 3 primaries: District of Columbia, Maryland and Wisconsin. Today, April 24th, Romney won all 5 primaries held in Connecticut, Delaware, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.

Romney said in his evening victory speech, "We are taking this victory to the White House." He also said, “To all of the thousands of good and decent Americans I’ve met who want nothing more than a better chance, a fighting chance, to all of you, I have a simple message: Hold on a little longer. A better America begins tonight.” "After 43 primaries and caucuses, many long days and not a few long nights, I can say with confidence — and gratitude — that you have given me a great honor and solemn responsibility.” “And, together, we will win on November 6th!”

Connecticut (28 Delegates - Majority Winner Takes): Mitt Romney 76.5%, Ron Paul 13.4%, Newt Gingrich 10.3%, Rick Santorum 6.9%, and Other 2%. Romney wins 26 Delegates with 2 to be assigned.

Delaware (17 Delegates - Winner Takes All): Mitt Romney 56.5%, Newt Gingrich 27%, Ron Paul 10.6%, and Rick Santorum 5.9%. Romney wins 17 Delegates.

New York (95 Delegates - Majority Winner Takes All in District / Otherwise Proportional): Mitt Romney 60.5%, Ron Paul 16.3%, Newt Gingrich 13.5%, and Rick Santorum 9.6%. Romney wins 42 delegates, Gingrich potentially 1 and 53 to be assigned.

Pennsylvania (72 Delegates - Loophole Primary* - Primary votes advisory; delegates elected and cast delegate votes): Mitt Romney 57%, Rick Santorum 19%, Ron Paul 13.4%, and Newt Gingrich 10.6%. Romney is expected to receive most or all of the delegates but delegates will have to make that determination. Thus the problem with the Loophole primary.

Rhode Island (19 Delegates - Proportional Primary): Mitt Romney 63.3%, Ron Paul 23.8%, Newt Gingrich 6%, Rick Santorum 5.7%, and Other 1.2%. Romney received 12 delegates, Paul received 4 delegats and 3 delegates are uncommitted.

May 2012 will have 8 primaries: May 8th - Indiana, North Carolina, and West Virginia; May 15th - Nebraska and Oregon; and May 22nd - Arkansas and Kentucky; for a total of 276 delegates. Then on May 29 - Texas with 155 delegates.

* Loophole primaries can exist in the GOP as there is no rule against them However since 1996, no Democratic primary has been a LOOPHOLE primary.
