Gibbs, Conservative Crusader: culture may be regarded as a ramification of the changing political atmosphere, a behavior manipulated by a particular technology applied to a particular set of conditions, or a learned response to a constantly changing society. But sometimes this kind of change may be detrimental to certain facets of a culture. The term "Americanism," as understood by most citizens of the United States of America, refers to the American Culture, which includes a set of values and standards that are uniquely American. The overall culture of the United States is an eclectic blend of Constitutional influences, historical experiences, and a multitude of worldwide cultures.

When asked the question, "What is an American?" a minority of individuals may respond that an American is simply an inhabitant of the continents of North or South America. The majority of people, however, will no doubt automatically respond that an American is a citizen of the United States.
