Channel 5 KFSM News reported that Arkansas ranks 39th in a report that examines the effect states' education policies and socio-economic factors have on success in adulthood.The "Quality Counts 2007" study suggests that a child born in Virginia is more likely to experience academic and financial success as an adult than a child in any other state. New Mexico ranked the lowest in the report, which was produced by Education Week. The study examined factors such as family income, parental education, preschool enrollment and high school graduation rates.
