After 10 years of being held by Republican Mike Huckabee who was term limited, the office of Arkansas Governor passed back into the hands of a democrat. Former Arkansas Attorney General Mike Beebe officially became the states 45th Governor. After taking the oath of office Mike Beebe delivered his inaugural address. Before a crowd of almost two-thousand people Beebe outlined his top priorities as he enters office. He focused on education, economic development, and tax relief. He ran on the campaign slogan, believing in Arkansas. And his first speech as Governor focused on turning that principle into practice.
