Obama speech [Address to Congress 2/24/09] tonight is so disingenuous it’s not even funny. Sure, in one breath he says the recovery of this economy requires action and not to look back at other administrations, then in the other breath he blames only Republican administration era policies for the problems. When he was talking about how we got to this mess - he talked about energy independence - but - never once brought up drilling for oil - he’s implying green energy only…nor did he bring up the failed Clinton policy allowing (forcing) banks to give loans to people without first verifying income, identity, employment, or the ability to pay. When he’s talking about helping responsible homeowners - he’s talking about allowing those who are upside down on their mortgage refinance on my dime even if they’re not struggling to pay their bills.
