CBS feeling “controlled” by Obama administration

Perhaps the press honeymoon is coming to a close for the President. CBS’ Chip Reid and Helen Thomas challenge Robert Gibbs on Obama’s commitment to transparency and control of the press. [Source: John Allison, III, America You Asked for It]

Thomas to Gibbs: “I’m amazed…I’m amazed at you people who call for openness and transparency and then control…[interrupted by Gibbs]“ Gibbs kept saying lets have this discussion AFTER the meeting. Helen Thomas accused the White House of "controlling the press." She said almost all White House/Obama events are "prepackaged." She accused the White House of not "having any answers." She identified that the press is called the night before regarding the asking of questions.
