Info Post
From Stix: Hugo Chavez and his friends in Ecuador have moved soldiers close to the borderwith Colombia, a US ally. They are upset that the Colombian army killed a FARC terrorist in Ecuador. See, the problem is that both Venuzuela and Ecuador are helping FARC, which is a Marxist guerilla group trying to overthrow the government of Colombia. And also Colombia is ally of the US in the war on drugs. FARC uses cocaine as thier wayof financing their military. It is also believed that FARC might have connections with Al Queda and they have connections to the IRA. So the next few weeks and months should be interesting.
South America on brink of war

SANTA CRUZ, Bolivia — South America was on the brink of war yesterday as Venezuela and Ecuador amassed troops on the Colombian border in response to the killing of a Marxist rebel leader.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez threatened to join the rebels in a war to overthrow hard-line Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, a key ally of the United States, deploying tanks, fighter jets and thousands of troops along the Colombian border.

Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa also ordered troops to the border, expelled Colombia's ambassador and recalled its ambassador to Bogota, but left its embassy open. Venezuela closed its embassy in Colombia and ordered all diplomats home.

A weekend battle sparked the mobilization, in which Colombian forces killed a top leader of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), in a camp in Ecuador . --- Washington Times
Also don't forget that the Defeatocrats refused to give aid to Colombia because of Colombian President Alvaro Uribe was supposedly involved in war crimes along with the Right Wing Militias in Colombia in years past. Give it to the Defeatocrats to help out the Marxists and enemies of the United States every time.
