Info Post
BallotpediaKristen McMurry is a Wiki Writer/Editor who oversees Ballotpedia.org. She has been briefing groups on the development of expansion of a Wiki to help others when they vote. Ballotpedia is a collaborative wiki that provides detailed breakdowns of ballot measures and initiatives. In the midst of a heated election, it's easy to overlook a lot of the local propositions you can expect to see on your ballot next Tuesday. Ballotpedia's breakdowns—like this table of ballot propositions for Arkansas—are gateways to all kinds of useful information, including arguments for and against each item. If you haven't brushed up on the other important votes you can cast on your ballot this year, Ballotpedia is a great resource to get up to speed. However, Ballotpedia is a Wiki in continuous ever changing development. If you are concerned that your area's local city or county ballot initiatives, like a swimming pool tax, school bond issue, term limit changes, etc., is not posted for citizen review in your state, then go to the "get involved" box and sign up as a Ballotpedia Wiki contributor and submit the facts about your area's ballot initiative. Don't panic if you get stuck, there are 'help tips for editing" and if you need further help just click on "fix or report an error" and Kristen or one of her fellow friendly Wiki experts will assist on the issue. If you would like to see more transparency at all levels in your state, county and community, then you can contribute to provide facts and referenced sources to the wiki. View everything you need to know to get started on Ballotpedia and become a contributor. Ballotpedia, Judgepedia, and the Sunshine Review are projects of the Sam Adams Alliance
