Info Post
According to Democrats, the war in Iraq is a "complete failure" Democrats in both the House and the Senate are calling for a "new direction" in the war effort. But what does that mean? As a group, they aren't saying.

And Rep. Murtha (D-Pa.) has suggested that U.S. troops can defend Iraq from outside the country: "We don't have to be right there [in Iraq],"
Murtha said in June, in an appearance on NBC's Meet the Press. "We can go to Okinawa... our fighters can fly from Okinawa very quickly." Read More

Note: if a republican had made Mutha statement, democrats and the news would have "cried dumb doesn't know geography." Will someone tell Murtha that Okinawa is in the Pacific Ocean? We are not going to fly from Okinawa to Iraq "very quickly" let alone being able to do so with any effect on Iran. First we would have to cross China or cross Indonesia and then India, Pakastan, etc . Or maybe the US could take the long away around the Asian and Indian contenent. I think not!
