About 250 people participated . . . The event is a prelude to the state’s presidential preference caucuses coming up Feb. 5. . . . Mitt Romney: 29%, Rudy Giuliani: 22%; Fred Thompson: 21%; John McCain: 21%. Mike Huckabee: 4%; Ron Paul: 4%: Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice (not a candidate): 2%; Duncan Hunter: 0% and Tom Tancredo 0%.
