From a reader who asked if we knew who did this Wizard of Id cartoon and when. We researched and determined the cartoon was by Brant Parker in 2004. Unfortunately Parker died at the age of 86 almost exactly one year ago on March 17, 2007. Parker was insightful and enjoyed by many conservatives. The Beat reported on his death that "The Kingdom of Id" started in 1964 in a New York hotel room when Brant Parker joined together with Johnny Hart who passed away a week before Parker.
