Republican Party of Arkansas: Yesterday, June 19, 2008, the State House Republican Caucus held a meeting to elect its leadership for the next legislative session. Representative Bryan King (Green Forest) was unanimously elected Minority Leader. King will be replacing Representative Johnny Key (Mountain Home), who will be moving to the State Senate.

King represents District 91, which encompasses Carroll and the most western parts of Boone Counties. He serves on both the Transportation and Aging/Children/Youth committees of which he serves as chair of the subcommittee on Aging. He resides in Green Forrest with his wife Lydia and their daughter Meghan. King is both a farmer and businessman.

Others elected during the Caucus meeting include Representative Jon Woods (Springdale) as Minority Whip, Representative Dan Greenberg (Little Rock) as Caucus Treasurer, and Representative Rick Green (Van Buren) as Caucus Secretary. The Caucus also welcomed the nine Republican Representative-Elects and continues to look forward to strengthening their numbers in this November.
