Bill Smith, Editor: Julie Laughridge, a member of the Alabama delegation and state political director for Let's Get This Right reported, "one of our Alabama delegation buses got a brick thrown into the windshield by some bandanna-wearing, lefty-loon banditos. Our bus driver took the brunt of the glass, although it also hit a few elected officials who happened to be sitting in the front seats."
Retired Alabama Supreme Court Justice Terry Butts said no one was hit by the brick, but the bus driver received small cuts from glass. Butts said he, his wife Suze and Jefferson County Commissioner Bettye Fyne Collins were showered with glass but they weren't cut.
