From David Kincade, PCRC: Former U.S. Rep. Asa Hutchinson, the 2006 Republican candidate for Arkansas governor, has been mentioned as a possible replacement for U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, who announced his resignation last week. utchinson, a former federal prosecutor and head of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, told the Arkansas News Bureau that his name has likely been floated due to his previous experience working in the Department of Justice. But he noted that he's not pursuing the post, adding that he and his wife, Susan, are "very, very happy" in Arkansas. The Hutchinsons are both members of the Pulaski County Republican Committee.
