Michigan Republicans gave Mitt Romney the most votes in a straw poll Friday and Saturday at the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference. The results were released Sunday. Mitt Romney: 39% - 979 votes; John McCain: 27%; Ron Paul: 11%; Rudi Giuliani: 11%; Fred Thompson: 7%; Mike Huckabee: 3%; Duncan Hunter: 1%; Sam Brownback: 0.5%; Tom Tancredo: 0% - no votes. [Source]

South Carolina Palmetto Family Council's stump and straw poll of 600 conservatives gave Hucakbee the most votes on Thursaday, The reported results: Mike Huckabee 34%; Ron Paul 30%; Fred Thompson 7%; not other info on other candidaters. [Source]
